The head of the Ponivez Yeshiva, Rabbi Baruch Dov Povarsky, published last night, through the Yeshiva Committee, a letter of encouragement to yeshiva students - in which he refers to the draft decree and the situation of yeshiva students.
In a letter "To the beloved and dear yeshiva students," the yeshiva head conveys a message of encouragement and support.
"Speaking of languages is only permissible in the highness of your esteem and your majesty, and all the power of the whole of Israel and its successes are solely from the power of the Torah," writes the head of the yeshiva - emphasizing the importance of Torah students and their central position in the people of Israel.
In the letter, the head of the yeshiva harshly criticizes the treatment of Torah students: "But sadly, the evil regime acts with complete disregard for this and, out of the unbridled hatred of the people of the land and the wicked for the righteous scholars and Torah students, declares Torah students as criminals and evaders of justice."
The Garav Povarsky presents an opposite message: "When the opposite is true, and those who have no part in the Torah are the ones who evade and destroy our existence."
Ahead of 'Bein Zeman', the yeshiva head calls on yeshiva students not to enter into polemics with the critics: "It is not our job to argue and argue with them and discuss their troubles."
Instead, he points to spiritual strengthening and faith. "We only need to remember the second blessing in the evening Shema blessings, which is that the love of the Holy One, blessed be He, for Israel is through the love of the Torah and the practice of it day and night."
The head of the yeshiva emphasizes the connection between Torah study and God's love for the people of Israel, and calls for believing "with complete faith that His love will never depart from one's heart."
