Yesterday (Wednesday), a complaint was received from a bus driver in Tiberias about a severe attack he experienced from several teenagers - which caused him injuries all over his body.
The investigation revealed that while the driver was traveling on a route he operated, several boys asked to board the bus with bicycles. When the driver prevented them, the boys began cursing - and later attacked him.
Immediately upon receipt of the complaint, an investigation was opened in which investigators identified the identities of the boys, who were about 15 years old - and this morning two of them were arrested while hiding in a shelter in the city.
Based on the findings of the investigation, the police will request an extension of their detention in court tomorrow.
"The Israel Police will not accept a situation in which citizens, especially public servants, are attacked with violence, and will act with all the tools at its disposal quickly and decisively in order to bring those criminals to justice. We call on the public of parents to give their opinion about the whereabouts and conduct of their children, as well as about this unacceptable phenomenon," the police say.
