The water tanks from 'Mei Eden' are supposed to undergo a disinfection process and be completely sterile. However, a couple from Herzliya, who ordered water tanks from the company, couldn't believe what awaited them in one of the water tanks.

According to the report today (Wednesday) on Channel 12, customers who ordered the containers from 'Mei Eden' were shocked to discover inside nothing less than a metal fork.

"We connected the container to the home installation, and when water started coming out, I noticed a suspicious taste and appearance. We took the container out and I saw the fork stuck inside. It was a feeling of disgust, to say the least," Karin described her feelings following the discovery.

She emphasized: "What's most shocking is that my facility has already pumped water from this tank – meaning the entire device is exposed to potential contamination."

She said the container was properly sealed, except for the sticker that was meant to be removed before assembly. "We didn't touch it. We just connected it like we always do," she describes.

She felt that the company's response was no less disappointing than the discovery itself. "I contacted customer service, expecting a serious investigation, an apology, fair compensation, and instead I received contempt. They refused to replace the device for me, and only offered a few sports bottles as compensation."

Karin added that she was told by customer service that the containers were recycled and came from other customers, so it was probably a fork that was left there. "But if the container was disinfected, how could there be a fork left in it? I told the customer service representative, that just didn't reassure me."

Eden Water Company's response: "Eden Water operates in accordance with the most stringent standards and under strict quality control processes throughout all stages of production, washing, disinfection and transportation. The jugs undergo thorough washing in several cycles, disinfection with materials approved for food use and double visual inspections, before and after filling, in order to ensure the quality of the water as it leaves the factory gate.

"We take every request seriously and work to examine each case on its own merits, including the current case. We apologize for the unusual case and the customer's feelings, and we are glad that she brought it to our attention so that we can perform the necessary tests and are in direct contact with her."
