A month after the outbreak of the war with Iran: The Tax Authority published today (Sunday) data on claims filed with the Property Tax Compensation Fund for damage to buildings, vehicles, contents, equipment, and business inventory.
The data shows that so far 49,943 claims have been filed for property damage, of which:
39,093 claims for damage to buildings
5,052 claims for vehicle damage
5,609 claims for damage to contents, equipment and business inventory
29,117 claims were filed by private citizens, and 18,075 by businesses. The remaining claims were filed by public bodies and housing committees.
34,273 cases have already been visited by an appraiser or have been processed through the fast track, which does not require an appraiser's visit.
In approximately 4,398 of the claims, a final appraiser's assessment was received and compensation was paid - or transferred in advance to the applicants.
So far, a total of about 305 million shekels have been paid.
The balance includes claims that have not yet been handled, that have not yet been visited by an appraiser, or that involve buildings that have been evacuated and are inaccessible, or that the appraiser arrived but the tenants were not present.

The Tax Authority emphasizes that the handling of claims continues continuously, and that the system of assessors and hotlines will be increased in order to accelerate inspections and compensation.
