Cookie dough lovers will be happy to discover that Ben & Jerry's recently shared, together with Robbie Michael, the original recipe - only for the iconic and beloved dough, so unique to Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

This is an easy-to-prepare recipe that is safe to eat even without baking, for the beloved, sweet taste, for a perfect snack, an extra addition of dough to your favorite ice cream, or as a base for baking cookies.

Ingredients:

A cup of pasteurized white flour – 140 grams
A cup of brown Demerara sugar – 200 grams
120 grams cold butter
2 tablespoons of sweet cream – 20 grams
A teaspoon of vanilla extract
Half a teaspoon of fine salt
Half a cup of chocolate chips – 75 grams

Preparation method and preparation time: 15 minutes

  • First, we pasteurize the flour.
Preheat oven to 120 degrees turbo.
On a tray lined with baking paper, roll out the flour and place in the oven for 12 minutes. After 6 minutes, stir the flour with a fork and continue in the oven for another 6 minutes.
Remove the pasteurized flour to cool for about 15 minutes until it reaches room temperature.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, pour a cup of sugar and cubes of cold butter. Turn the mixer on low speed with the paddle attachment until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Add sweet cream, vanilla extract and salt. Continue mixing until a uniform mixture is obtained. Stop and add the pasteurized flour in. Turn the mixer back on until a dough is obtained.
  • Add the chocolate chips, mix one last time and you're done!
  • Serve and enjoy! You can eat immediately or store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to a week or six months in the freezer.
And if you want, you can also bake and eat them as cookies.
