Northern Command Commander: We will aggressively enforce violations, Hezbollah will not return

The Commander of the Northern Command, Major General Uri Gordin, yesterday (Thursday) conducted a situation assessment and tour of southern Lebanon with the Commander of the "Hamapetz" (146) Division, Brigadier General Yiftach Norkin, the Commander of the "Baram" (300) Division, Brigadier General Omri Rosenkrantz, and other commanders. The commanders discussed the importance of the presence of the forces in the field, which are at high readiness to maintain the enforcement of the ceasefire agreement, and expressed great appreciation to the forces for their activity in the field. Gordin said in the conversation: "We are after an attack in the Northern Arrows, a very significant achievement against Hezbollah, a severe blow to the organization at all levels, in all formations, a severe blow to the organization's fire systems - which manages to have much less impact on the home front of our territory, a severe blow to the leadership and military command of the organization, making it very difficult for them to create command and control, a severe blow to the ground attack capabilities of Radwan, and this is perhaps the most significant thing, this is the very heart of the maneuver you carried out here, in its infrastructure, in its weapons, and also in the harm to Radwan's operatives." He added: "We took Hezbollah back many years and this significant achievement, the severe blow to Hezbollah, allows for a completely different freedom for making decisions and managing this campaign going forward." Gordin emphasized that the IDF will enforce the ceasefire agreement with all its might. "The political echelon agreed on a ceasefire arrangement with the State of Lebanon the other night, and our job is to enable it and enforce it. We will enforce it aggressively, under the conditions we have set, that is what will be implemented, and therefore we do not intend for Hezbollah to return to these areas. We intend for this entire area to be cleared of Hezbollah's capabilities and certainly weapons, and that is our job. "If they make a mistake, it will be a big mistake, and we are prepared to return to the forward attack and return to fighting, and this switch among the fighters and commanders must be ready at all times, and yes, we are now in enforcement mode, but we can clearly give the opposite order in a very short time and go back forward.".
