Israeli food and beverage giants continue the trend of price increases: Nestle Ice Cream announced today (Sunday) a price increase of between 7-5%, which will take effect from December 2024.
According to a report by Dana Yarkachi in 'Kan News', at the same time, the companies Eden and Afora also announced to the marketing chains a price increase of 6%-8 at the beginning of next month.
From Pronary Israel, the manufacturer of Nestle ice cream, it was stated: "Due to a significant increase in the prices of inputs and some of the raw materials, with an emphasis on cocoa prices, we are forced to update the retail price list of some of our products proportionately, at an average rate of 7%, which partially compensates for the price increases."
For Pronary, this is the second price increase this year, after the company announced an increase in the price of its products in January. The company justifies the move with significant cumulative increases in production and operating costs, but consumers and retail chains are expressing displeasure with the move.
