Former Chief of Staff Dan Halutz sharply attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this evening (Tuesday) against the backdrop of the war.
"He is responsible, I don't know of a country in the world where a prime minister after something like this wouldn't climb the tallest tower and jump off. There is no such thing," Halutz said in a conversation on Lucy Aharish's show on Channel 13.
He added that Netanyahu refuses to recognize October 7: "In Netanyahu's calendar, there is no October 7. There is a six, there is an eight, on the eight they started a war on him and he fought."
Halutz continued his attack: "No, he's not fighting, this man isn't fighting, he's leading us from one rejection to the next."
Journalist Ran Booker uploaded the recording to his Twitter account alongside the caption: "The harsh statement by former Chief of Staff Dan Halutz."
Dozens of surfers reacted sharply against Halutz.
One of the surfers sneered: "You're welcome to give him greetings from his stock portfolio. It's interesting that selling shares while he's Chief of Staff in a war is okay."
The Torat Lahima organization responded: "There is no criticism of his general friends, how surprising."
Media figure Elhanan Groner wrote: "It's good that he has time to get to the studios. He's probably already finished going through and asking for forgiveness at all the graves after carrying out the disengagement and bringing Hamas to power."
