Labor Party Chairwoman Merav Michaeli lashed out at the Prime Minister this evening (Saturday), claiming that he is preventing the return of the kidnapped.
Michaeli, who has faded in the polls, wrote: "You think Netanyahu is not returning the kidnapped. That he is not leaving any stone unturned to return them. That he is not doing everything that can be done to return them."
She moved on to a harsh attack against the prime minister: "But the truth is that it's much worse - Netanyahu is preventing the return of our abductees. Everyone who sits with him in the same government is responsible for the most corrupt and horrific thing he's done in his career."
Michaeli wrote the outrageous tweet against the backdrop of the government's talks with mediators the US, Qatar and Egypt to reach a deal with Hamas to release those kidnapped from captivity in the Gaza Strip in exchange for the release of thousands of terrorists from prison in Israel, some of whom are "serious" prisoners serving life sentences in prison.
Meanwhile, left-wing protesters who blocked the Begin Gate in Kirya in Tel Aviv lit a fire and police extinguished it.
At the same time, four suspects were arrested for disorderly conduct at a demonstration in Caesarea against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The protesters subsequently called for people to come to the Hadera police station to support the detainees.
