One of the worshippers at the Yom Kippur prayer in Dizengoff Square in Tel Aviv was filmed confronting left-wing protesters, shocked by the intention to disrupt the prayer - and making it clear to them that he demonstrates with them every Shabbat at Kaplan.
""I'm at Kaplan every Shabbat. I'm a high-tech guy, secular, I live here in Tel Aviv," the worshipper was angry. "When you say 'you', are you talking about the kippa? About the color of your skin?""
He continued: "Come on, you, the enlightened left, explain to me who 'you' are? I'm at 'Kaplan' every Saturday fighting for my democracy, and one day a year I decide to wear a kippah, so suddenly I'm 'you'?".
Surfer Alon Maskowitz responded: "Sounds like a dear man. Maybe now he will understand who the people he protests next to every Saturday are, for whom he will always be 'you'.".
Another surfer responded: "The chip fell on him. Now maybe he too will understand why the reform is essential.".
Surfer Ariel Meshulam wrote: "I hope this will make him wake up. As far as the white man is concerned, you are a black man with a soul.".
And the surfer Yair warned: "So you understand where the truth is? It was worth this Yom Kippur. Start waking up. This is a dictatorial group that the day they have power, the red book will come back to you!""
