According to a report by Anna Barsky in Maariv, senior sources in the coalition claim that they recently received several inquiries from elements affiliated with the opposition, who examined the possibility of "reaching understandings regarding the issues of reform and continuing the protest in exchange for burying the Pegasus investigation committee or turning it into a parliamentary investigation committee, with opposition members also taking part in it.".

The same coalition sources claim: "Establishing an investigative committee into the Pegasus affair horrifies many in the legal system and in the opposition. They probably know full well who might pay the price when the truth about the illegal wiretapping comes to light. It's not just their fear that the investigation's findings will collapse Netanyahu's trial, it's much more than that.".

Sources in the political system told Maariv: "The findings of the investigation into the Pegasus affair will shake the country and make us forget everything that happened here during the year, starting with the reform storm and the protest.".

MK Moshe Saada of the Likud told Sharon Gal on Gali Israel radio today: "'"Every person and official who committed a criminal offense will pay the price. Today, the goal is for the government to finally approve the establishment of the committee. There is an obligation to examine all the files, including one file of the Prime Minister. Netanyahu also deserves justice, this is one file out of 1086. Conduct a thorough and meaningful investigation here.".

Sharon Gal: In how many cases do you think spies were used illegally?

MK Saada: "I don't know right now in how many cases, I know that at least 1086 illegal uses were made. I think the committee should release everything so that it is very transparent.".

MK Tali Gottlieb used her immunity and revealed today in a conversation with Avi Ratzon on Galei Israel: "The police knew everything about the Pegasus' capabilities.".

According to her, "Roni Alsheich lied to the people of Israel. Alsheich stated that there was no purchase of 'Pegasus' on behalf of the police, but I will use my immunity and reveal the following here - the police sought to purchase Pegasus, but because of its very high espionage capabilities, they sought to degrade the software and weaken it to a 'safeguard.'".

""The police procurement department knew all along the way about the capabilities of the original Pegasus and also those of the weakened Siefen that was purchased. The police's statement that they did not know about the software's capabilities is a complete lie. Marari's statement that the prosecution did not know is an outright lie. Marari lied in her report and it is not for nothing that we see her husband, Eyal Yinon, who was the Knesset Attorney General, coming out on the weekend to defend her.".
