President Reuven (Ruby) Rivlin asked to speak with MK Shelly Yachimovich this week, but she did not answer. So he called her parliamentary advisor, Tomer Kramerman, and was told that Yachimovich was not answering and that he did not like to text.

""Tell me, isn't this lovely?" Yachimowitz enthused this morning on her Facebook page.

""You say, isn't that charming? The President, the number one citizen, sits there, and without any manners, dials, and when he doesn't pick up, he calls a young parliamentary assistant and chats with him pleasantly. ""Another simple proof that this is one of the greatest favors we did ourselves, electing him as president.".

She added: "The president prefers to celebrate his birthday on the Hebrew date, the 25th of Elul, which is tomorrow, Shabbat - so happy birthday, my beloved President Ruby! Shabbat Shalom and a wonderful weekend.".
