Sara Netanyahu, the Prime Minister's wife, published a post on her Instagram page today (Thursday), in which she addressed the riots around the hair salon where she was staying last night in Kikar Hamedina in Tel Aviv, when hundreds of protesters surrounded the place and did not allow her to leave. Netanyahu wrote: "I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the broad support and the many messages of encouragement that I receive on social media and also in person. You hold me very dear." She added: "The terrible event that happened yesterday could have ended in murder. It is time to stop the anarchy. It is time for the leaders of the opposition to condemn the violence, anarchy and incitement." She asked to thank "the security forces, the police, the Yitzhak Rabin, the Border Guard, the Shin Bet, Defense Minister Leumi Ben Gvir and Commissioner Kobi Shabtai for their personal concern." Yair Netanyahu was interviewed today on Gale Israel Radio and spoke about the siege: "My mother was shocked and I couldn't reach her on the phone, I feared for her life. Her phone was not available, I didn't know if she was alive or dead. I didn't understand if they had entered the barbershop or not. There was half an hour when I didn't know what was happening to her. She is not a public figure, she is a private person." As reported by Haredim 10, hundreds of protesters surrounded the barbershop in Kikar Hamedina where the Prime Minister's wife got her hair cut and chanted, among other things, "Shame" and "The lady is giving us a haircut." Only after about three hours was she rescued from the scene by hundreds of police officers, security guards from the 'Magen' unit - which guards public figures, Border Guard soldiers and special units.
