In an exciting event, last night (Sunday) they celebrated 100 years since the founding of the Great Synagogue in Tel Aviv.
The old synagogue is one of the most prominent institutions in Tel Aviv's Jewish life, and is a pilgrimage center for visitors.
The special evening was attended by President Yitzhak Herzog, former Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau, Mayor of Tel Aviv Ron Huldai, Rabbi Zabadia Cohen, Rabbi of the synagogue, Rabbi Yitzhak Bar Zeev.
Everyone was welcomed by the president of the Great Synagogue, Shlomo Pivko, who greeted the dignitaries and the many guests.
Singer Yishai Lapidot hosted the event, and the artistic segment was led by singer Shuli Rand and cantor Nissim Sael, who thrilled the audience.
The event was open to the general public and attracted veteran worshippers alongside rabbis, celebrities, and public figures.
