Unusual documentation from the Nahariya train station: The station's security cameras recorded a mother loading a stroller with a baby inside onto a train, but before she could get on herself, the doors closed and the train headed south. The incident occurred shortly before 7:00 PM. Immediately after the mother realized that the train had left without her, she called the station management. The Nahariya station manager, Avi Aripol, heard screams from the platform and acted quickly: he calmed the mother with the help of cashier Liraz Orolevski, and immediately contacted the train conductor who was traveling. The train conductor immediately located the stroller and did not move from it until the train arrived at Acre station - where he handed the baby over to the station staff. The station manager, Mati Giladi, and cashier Sarit Shmilovitz, took the baby to the station manager's office - and cared for him until the mother arrived.
