Mazal Tov: The delivery room at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center was filled with tears of joy and great excitement over the weekend. About two and a half years ago, Natasha, 41, and Sharon Perry, residents of Hadera, lost their little son Ati, the late two-year-old, who drowned in the pool in their yard. After the tragedy, the nuclear family gathered and decided together, with full force, that they had to move on, despite the great difficulty and pain. "After Ati's death, something was missing in the house. There was a terrible feeling of emptiness and we felt that we needed to bring light into the house," says Natasha. Natasha and Sharon have two grown children - Atir, 14, and Dvir, 12. "The boys really wanted a little sister. I was already 39 years old and it wasn't easy at all. After several failed attempts and four miscarriages, we started IVF treatments. I was accepted after the first treatment. I was on a gestational carrier and was very stressed from all the tests and follow-ups. I was afraid of being disappointed if something was wrong with the fetus, and especially not to disappoint the children who long for a little sister/s." In the 39th week of pregnancy, Natasha arrived at the obstetrics and gynecology emergency room at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center with contractions. Upon her arrival, she was examined by Dr. Lucile Zorzetti, a senior physician in the obstetrics and gynecology department, and Natasha began the process of inducing labor. A few hours later, Natasha gave birth to her little daughter, accompanied by Alona Solomonov, a delivery room midwife, who supported her throughout the birth. Just before being discharged home, Natasha said excitedly: "I am glad that I chose to give birth at 'Hillel Yaffe'. I had a wonderful birth experience. We received amazing treatment from the entire staff - from the reception in the emergency room to being discharged home. Without a doubt, I was privileged to share one of the most exciting and meaningful moments of my life alongside a professional and attentive staff, who surrounded me with a smile, understanding and great care. The baby who joined our family is a huge gift that we received into our lives, which is why we decided to name her Shay-Li." Natasha and her daughter Shay-Li were discharged from the hospital feeling well.
