7 more indictments against extremists: obstructing the development of the light rail line

The Jerusalem District Attorney's Office filed an indictment today (Sunday) with the city's Magistrate's Court against seven defendants, residents of Jerusalem and Beitar Illit, aged 19-26 - Menashe Mintzberg, Shimon Klafholtz, Nachman Fox, Avraham Yosef Margalit, Eliyahu Shraga Godelevsky, Shimon Zilber and Yehuda Sternfeld - after they broke into the work site for the development of the Jerusalem light rail line, about a month ago. You could get a grant! • Here are all the details A service revolution in public transportation: Why is it now more profitable to travel? על פי כתב האישום, בזמן שהתקיימו הפגנות המוניות בסמוך לאתר העבודות לפיתוח קו הרכבת הקלה ברחוב בר אילן, נכנסו הנאשמים לאתר העבודה והתיישבו בו וזאת כדי למנוע את המשך עבודות הפיתוח. הנאשמים לא עזבו את המקום למרות קריאות חוזרות של השוטרים כי יתפנו מהמקום. לאחר זמן מה, משהפצרות השוטרים לא הועילו, פונו הנאשמים בכוח מאתר העבודה על ידי שוטרים ונעצרו. לאחר מעצרם, סרבו שניים מהנאשמים  - מינצברג ומרגלית - להזדהות בפני חוקרי המשטרה. כתב האישום מייחס לנאשמים ביצוע עבירות של הסגת גבול כדי לעבור עבירה והפרעה לשוטר בשעת מילוי תפקידו.
