I find it a great privilege and a pleasant duty to thank former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who led and guided the State of Israel over the past 12 years to tremendous achievements.

Netanyahu, for me, was the best prime minister the State of Israel ever had, the best prime minister for the city of Lod. On a national level, the standard of living of Israeli citizens has risen, the Israeli economy is one of the most advanced in the world, we were the first country in the world to emerge from the Corona crisis thanks to the vaccines he brought, we felt more secure in light of his firm stance in the war on Iran and its nuclear program, we rejoiced at the historic peace agreements with the United Arab Emirates, we felt proud when Netanyahu spoke in the US Congress, and the members of the House stood up again and again to applaud, we enjoyed the transportation reform – the open skies and the development of roads throughout the country, and of course we can list many more achievements. At the local level, Lod is enjoying accelerated development throughout the city thanks to the efforts of the government under his leadership, including the signing of the umbrella agreement with the Israeli government - within the framework of which Lod is receiving government investments of unprecedented amounts of approximately 8.5 billion shekels, which will make Lod the main residential, transportation and employment center in the heart of Israel. His standing by us during times of unrest was dramatic. My request for a curfew on the city when the fire was burning was answered positively by him, and in fact saved the lives of many residents. Netanyahu's work is inspiring, but aside from the compliments, I am very saddened that instead of praising his achievements, almost no one from the other camp had the public courage to praise him, to cherish and thank him for his public mission. In my eyes, Netanyahu is a figure to admire. A huge, eloquent, witty leader, with a charismatic personality and tremendous abilities, a symbol and a legend, and he deserves the gratitude of all citizens of Israel. For me, like most of this nation, it is a privilege to say thank you, Benjamin Netanyahu. We love you, Bibi, you sacrificed yourself for us, for our country. Thanks to you, Israel is stronger, Zionist, Jewish, powerful and a leader in the world. For me, you are a dear and beloved family member, and I will always be grateful to you. May God protect you!
