The wave of layoffs at News 13, after the agreements between the workers' committee and management, continues: News 13 political correspondent Akiva Novik received notice this evening (Wednesday) that it had been decided to fire him from the company.
Novick tweeted: "I was fired from News 13 tonight. Anyone looking for a second-hand journalist with a decade and a half of experience in the profession and a specialization in news is welcome to contact me.".
Then he added: "The truth is that technically I resigned, but I didn't want to break the mold of Tali Moreno.".

On Monday, Tali Moreno, the anchor of the main edition and someone who has been with the company since its inception, announced that she had been fired from her position.
In a tweet she posted on her Twitter account, she wrote: "To all those interested: I was fired from News 13 tonight. Anyone looking for a second-hand journalist with two decades of experience in the profession and expertise in reporting is welcome to contact me. Thanks in advance.".
News 13 management signed a collective agreement with the employee representatives and the journalists' organization, as part of the company's streamlining process.
News 13 CEO Israel Twitto: "We have all had difficult months at the news company. Months of strenuous and difficult work alongside managing a complex process of downsizing in the company. The agreement we reached tonight is not an easy one for all of us. The company will say goodbye to employees who were and always will be an essential part of its construction, establishment and journalistic strength.".
According to Twito, "The news company's management, with the support of Reshet CEO Avi Ben Tal, did everything to maintain resilience and strength even the day after the streamlining process was carried out.".
