The man is different from the woman. That's the beauty of marriage.

It is impossible to have a discussion here. It seems that the more criticism of the media's biased behavior grows, the more it makes more and more efforts to prove that the claims against it are indeed justified.

Recently, there has been a trend of violent and predatory media discourse, in which half a quote from a person is taken, distorted beyond recognition, and repeated over and over again, in order to instill the distortion in the public consciousness. The unfortunate victim finds himself the target of a public lynching, and has virtually no way to defend himself against the brutal attack.

Last week, Avigdor Kahalani, a hero of Israel, a man who risked his life on the battlefields, found himself in this corner.

His sin was in making the argument that the cruelty of war was not intended for women. As someone who has seen the horrors of war, he believes that it is wrong to bring women into this place, because afterwards they will never be the same people they were.

You can agree with the argument and you can argue with it, but with us it is impossible to have a discussion. As soon as the group of light bearers identifies someone who deviates from the line they have determined to be 'correct' - they immediately put him in front of a firing squad and tear him to pieces. This group attacked Kahalani mercilessly, repeating over and over a quote that never existed and was never created.

Is this really a "feminine approach"?

Interestingly, a few weeks ago we came across sympathetic articles about a movement that calls itself 'Women Make Peace.' The movement's spokespeople explained: "The voice we want to make is the feminine approach." In their opinion, "Today there is a security cabinet and the thinking is all the time how we improve the weapons. We want to make a change. We want a cabinet of a political agreement to be established, and for this cabinet to include women and have a different voice.".

Did you notice what is said here? Is there really a "feminine approach" and a "different voice"?! And where is the equality and the firm demand to erase the differences between men and women? Or maybe when things come from one direction they receive a caressing embrace, while when they come from another direction they are met with crossfire.

Well, it is permissible and appropriate to stand up and say out loud that the demand for 'equality' as it is being raised these days is distorted, harmful and fundamentally wrong. Equality can and should exist in areas such as employment and pay, but there are areas where the natural differences between men and women are expressed, and there men should be men and women should be women.

Two pieces of a puzzle

The sages say: "A man has his own way to conquer, but a woman has no way to conquer." Assault, conquest, and war require qualities of mind that are found more in men than in women. Throughout the world – even in the enlightened world – it is customary to group women and children together as a protected group, who are forbidden to be involved in war.

Men and women are not equal. The Creator of the world created man differently from woman. The difference is in the structure of the body, in physical ability, and also in the qualities of the soul.

This is the beauty of a wedding, where the qualities of the man and the virtues of the woman come together, and from the two pieces of the puzzle a single whole is created. This is how Judaism sees things, and it is appropriate that these things be said without fear and without intellectual terrorism.
