Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Lieberman said this morning (Sunday) that he will allow free voting in the presidential elections. "Tomorrow the faction will meet to decide who to support for the presidency. I will recommend free voting. I know who I do not support, I have not yet decided who I will support.". The one he will not support is MK Reuven Rivlin, despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's announcement of support for the former Knesset Speaker. During the Likud-Yisrael Beiteinu merger, Lieberman promised Netanyahu that he would support any candidate he brought to the presidency. However, Rivlin is not popular with Lieberman, and the foreign minister does not see himself committed to Netanyahu's move, despite his promise, because it was made without coordination with him.
