In conjunction with the celebration of the 'Sheva-Brakhot' for the daughter of the Chief Rabbi of Russia, the eminent Rabbi Berel Lazar, a special and moving 'March Evening' was held for friends and supporters of Jewish charitable institutions in Moscow. Seventeen diverse institutions, as diverse as the Tov Minyan, make up the arc of "Jewish charity" in the Russian capital, and together form a golden chain composed of pearl links of caring and mutual assistance for every request and request, for every case and person, and standing by the side of those in need. Torah and educational institutions have flourished side by side, since the crown of glory of Moscow Jewry returned to its former glory, and alongside them more and more charity and charity organizations have been established, which today constitute the spearhead of general activity for tens of thousands of Moscow Jews. The salute event was held in the lobby of the large building of the "Shaarei Tzedek Jewish Charity Center" in the Marina Roshcha neighborhood, with the participation of dozens of friends and supporters, who stand by the organizations in support and assistance throughout the year, as dedicated partners for those in need. The evening began with the setting of the mezuzah and the inauguration of the house at the 'Bikur Cholim Center - Moscow', which this week began operating the new and sophisticated kitchen, where food dishes will be prepared for families where one of the family members has been hospitalized and the family needs hot, nutritious food. The Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Lazar, affixed the mezuzah at the main entrance and, after a tour of the Center of Mercy, presented a prestigious parchment scroll of the Book of Esther to donor Nathan Lichtenfeld. The many guests also saw up close the progress of construction of the "Yad Lid" project, which will open its doors next month, featuring a large supermarket of "second-hand furniture and clothing" for families with children and those in need. During the event, the Chief Rabbi, together with the President of the Union of Jewish Communities in Russia, Rabbi Alexander Barda, presented certificates of appreciation to the friends of the center. The evening was enlivened by artists Shimon Sklar and Avraham Lunger, with Nesma songs and "Graman" - a special rhyme in honor of the Sheva Blessings. After the blessing of food and "Sheva Blessings", joyous dances were held in honor of the joy of the bride and groom. [Gallery]
