What is the origin of macaque monkeys?
If you ask the Sudanese journalist Al Musharraf, he will answer that some of them are descended from... Jews.
According to him, Allah punished those Jews because they desecrated the Sabbath, as written in the Quran, and therefore turned them into monkeys.
In a comprehensive article written by Al Musharraf, he explains that upon closer observation, one can find similarities, both external and internal-behavioral, between Jews and macaques.
We have always been monkeys.
Al-Mushraaf emphasizes that, "The existence of apes of Jewish origin is an undisputed truth, and that no one denies except those who disbelieve in the Quran that Allah revealed to Muhammad.".
""Allah said regarding these apes of Jewish descent: 'You are well-known to those among you who stretched out their hands (to fish) on the Sabbath. We said to them, 'They were apes that were misled.' We made this a punishment and a lesson for their generation and those who came after them, and as a reminder for the pious.".
According to the journalist, his argument can be proven in a simple way. In Islamist countries, where Jews have lived for many years, large numbers of macaques can be found. These monkeys, claims Al-Musharraf, are in fact the many Jews who were punished as mentioned. He adds that what is interesting is that in fact there are two types of macaques: black and silver. This corresponds to the existence of two types of Jews with two colors: Ashkenazim (light) - of European origin, and Sephardim (dark) - of Asian origin.
Israel Hayom explains that Al-Musharraf's article would not have received such great importance if it had not been published on the prestigious MEMRI website, which belongs to a research institute in Washington, which monitors publications dealing with the Middle East.
The attribution of Jews to monkeys is not new in the Islamic world.
According to the Quran, the Jews are descendants of monkeys and pigs, and they are referred to as the 'people of the Sabbath' who went out 'fishing' and were therefore punished by Allah.
