Following a speech by the "talisman kissers," which made him the target of a harsh attack for disrespecting Judaism and tradition, artist Yair Garbuz was filmed today (Sunday) installing a mezuzah in his home. This was after representatives of the Samaria Settlers' Committee visited the extreme leftist's home and presented him with a mezuzah as a gift.

Garbuz made it clear to the committee members that he was not apologizing for his speech at the left-wing rally, which was held before the elections in Rabin Square.

The speech, in which he attacked "the handful who prostrate themselves on the graves of martyrs," was one of the significant factors in Bozhi Herzog's failure in the elections.

""An apology is the complete opposite," Garbuz told journalist Ofer Hadad of Channel 2. "Give me the square and I'll repeat the same things word for word again. I didn't say mezuzahs in the square, so the mezuzah holder and I have no connection.".

""People came to talk to me about what I really said, not what I thought. I appreciated them. These people (people from the Samaria Settlers' Committee) brought me a gift, and I am a polite person.".

In his speech in Rabin Square, Garbuz said: "They told us and wanted us to believe that the abomination who murdered the prime minister came from a handful of delusional people, and that he belonged to the crazy fringe," Garbuz began. "They told us that the yellow-shirted and black-shirted, the 'Kahana Tzedek' people and the death-screamers for Arabs, are a handful. They are just a handful. That the price tag people are a handful. A mere handful. The violence is just a marginal phenomenon.

""They told us over and over again that the racists and cursers do not represent Israeli society at all, they are only a handful. They said that the thieves who take bribes are only a handful, and the corrupt, hedonistic, piggybackers are no more than a handful. And the destroyers of democracy are a handful, and those who think that democracy means tyranny of the majority - a handful. The amulet-bearers, the idolaters and those who bow down and prostrate themselves at the graves of saints, are only a handful...

""So how is it that the handful controls us? How is it that without feeling, without being disturbed, the handful becomes the majority? How is it that being a destructive handful is so contagious? How is it that the handful digs the most dangerous of tunnels beneath us, the tunnel of ignorance? How is it that the tunnel of hatred winds its way beneath us?""
