Listen to a story: A UPS delivery man proposed a match to a young man and woman whose families he regularly visits, based on his acquaintance with the two. • Last night, the engagement was celebrated.

You've probably never heard of such a match:  A gentile courier for the UPS delivery company arranged a match between a Hasidic couple.

And so it happened:

UPS, an international express delivery company, has a regular delivery driver in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. Since online shopping is very popular in the United States, UPS dispatchers are busy. Even in the neighborhood where thousands of Hasidic families live, there is great demand for the company's services, since many families purchase products online.

Because of the frequency of the orders, the courier already knows the families he visits frequently. Until one day an idea popped into his head: he proposed to the boy and girl whose families he visits - a matchmaking, based on his acquaintance with the two. He gave them each other's details, and within a week and a half a match was made, at a good and successful time.

Last night, the Simon-Goldin couple's "cheers" party was held in Crown Heights. The guest of honor, needless to say, was the matchmaker from UPS.

It was not disclosed how much matchmaking fee he received.
