Concerns among the right and the ultra-Orthodox parties: As of this morning (Tuesday), calls are being heard among the Arab public to strengthen the Arab camp in the Knesset - and voter turnout is climbing.
In the joint Arab list, he said that in the Arab voting areas, extensive activity is taking place to get residents to come out and vote. In the Arab sector, voter turnout by 10 a.m. was 10 percent, compared to about 3 percent in the previous elections.
The chairman of the Joint Arab List, Ayman Odeh, voted at the ballot box in Haifa - and said: "We will contribute to ensuring that the right wing does not form the next government. I assure you that Netanyahu, Bennett and Lieberman will also be in the opposition starting tomorrow morning. This is a historic day, a day that will be good news for all citizens in the country. They wanted to exclude the Arab population, they raised the threshold - and we united."
However, Meretz is also very concerned about the possibility that the party will not pass the electoral threshold, due to the high voter turnout. "I want to die from this thought. But no, I don't think that will happen," said party chairwoman Zehava Galon.
This afternoon, the Joint Arab List responded to a video posted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Facebook in which he said that the right-wing government is in danger because "Arab voters are moving in droves to the polls."
The response stated: "Netanyahu recently published a video in which he warns, filled with horror, about the high voter turnout among the Arab population.
"Lieberman called for voting for every Zionist party – from Meretz to him, just not for the Arabs, and the settlers have been streaming to the polling stations in the Arab communities since morning, to sit there and show everyone who's boss. So let us reassure you. Yes, we intend to be the third largest force in the next Knesset.
"And yes, we encourage the Arab public to go out and vote. But every mandate of ours will be a mandate of peace and equality, of social justice and national justice."
