Reduced: People who met Education Minister Rabbi Dr. Shai Piron in the past two weeks noticed that the minister chose to take advantage of the Knesset's Passover break in a somewhat unconventional way: managing his personal weight. But now the secret behind the diet is becoming clear. According to a report in the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper this morning (Sunday), Piron underwent gastric bypass surgery several weeks ago, after his doctors recommended it. At the end of the week, after recovering more quickly than expected, the minister returned to his office for regular work. When his employees were surprised at the energy with which he returned to work, he told them about the surgery he had undergone. Minister Piron's office reported that he is feeling excellent and has returned to work around the clock.
