A 35-year-old man was murdered this morning (Sunday) on Highway 5533 near Moshav Tzur Natan. Five more people were injured by gunfire at other locations, their condition is described as moderate to serious.
Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir arrived at the scene of the attack in Tzur Yitzhak and said: "A difficult event. Condolences to the family of the hero of Israel who fell here. We cannot give details, but he had a role. We pray a very big prayer for the peace of the wounded, including the hero, the rabbi. I am proud of the hero who tried to make contact and fell. I am proud of the police officers here who tried to make contact and led to the swift elimination of the terrorist.".
""This is the result of the terrorists, who need to be eliminated - preferably in the field. If not, within the framework of the 'death penalty for terrorists' law that we passed - this is the end of every terrorist, this is how it should look. Preferably as soon as possible, kudos to our heroic police officers.".
Minister Ben Gvir addressed the policeman who neutralized the terrorist: "You, who sought contact, who acted, who did, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts on behalf of our entire country. This is how terrorists should look as soon as possible, and if not - within the framework of the death penalty law for terrorists.".
