
At the end of the election process for the rabbi of the Dead Sea Scrolls Regional Council: The Elections Committee announced that Rabbi Shlomo Lavi was elected to the position of rabbi of the Regional Council.
The election of Rabbi Lavi constitutes a significant milestone in establishing spiritual leadership in the Regional Council and in providing accessible, high-quality religious services to all residents.
Rabbi Shlomo Lavie is a graduate of the Kol Torah Yeshiva in Jerusalem, studied at the Kollel for Rabbinic and Jurisprudence and completed his Jurisprudence studies. He was ordained by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel as a rabbi and holds the qualification to be a city rabbi.
He learned his way in halachic rulings from his father, the Gras Lavie, a judge in the rabbinical court in Tel Aviv-Yafo, and from his father-in-law, the Gaon Gra Al-Harar, rabbi of Modi'in and a member of the Rabbinical Council of Israel.
Rabbi Lavi Cohen is in the rabbinate of the Kfar Ruth Moshav, alongside activity in the synagogues and study halls in the city of Modi'in.
The integration of Rabbi Lavi, who is connected to the local public and has a profound Torah background, is expected to serve as a spiritual and leadership bridge for all shades of the Dead Sea Scrolls Regional Council.
