The military prosecution in the Judea and Samaria region today filed an indictment with the military court against Duas Hasson, for the murder of Yehuda Sherman, Y.D.

Is 100,000 NIS right for you before Shavuot? Last hours for the big lottery!

According to the indictment, on March 21, 2026, after the defendant learned that Israeli citizens were traveling towards his village of Beit Amrin, the defendant left in a pickup truck he owned and waited near the road leading to the village.

When the defendant noticed three Israelis traveling in a Ranger SUV, he decided to attack the vehicle in which they were traveling.

The defendant followed the vehicle, and when he noticed that it had slowed down near a steep slope, he deliberately and forcefully rammed the rear of the vehicle.

As a result of the impact, the vehicle flew and rolled down the cliff. The occupants of the vehicle were thrown from it, which led to the death of Yehuda Sherman Y.D. and the injury of his brother Daniel.

The indictment charges the defendant with the offense of intentionally causing death - equivalent to the offense of murder, attempted intentional death of the two other citizens who were traveling in the vehicle, obstruction of justice, and offenses for possessing weapons without a permit.

Upon filing the indictment, the military prosecution petitioned for the defendant's detention until the end of the legal proceedings in his case.

The military court ordered his detention until further notice.

The terrorist's son was also arrested in the case. During a search of his home, a "Carlo" rifle and a hunting rifle were seized, and an indictment is expected against him in the coming days.

""The Military Prosecution is accompanying the members of the Sherman family, is in constant contact with them, and is granting them all the rights they are entitled to under the law. The IDF and the Military Prosecution share in the family's deep sorrow," the IDF statement said.

Daniel Sherman, who was injured in the attack, said: "We welcome the filing of the indictment and that justice is beginning to come to light. The real answer to terrorism is the continued construction and development of the settlement.".

He declared: "We will continue to build everywhere in the Land of Israel, without fear and without interruption, including in Area A, because this land belongs to the people of Israel and it is advisable for the Israeli government to come to its senses and cancel the adulterous agreements that were signed with the enemy years ago and brought thousands of deaths upon us. We expect the system to bring the full severity of justice to bear on the terrorist.".

Yehoshua Sherman, the father of Yehuda the 14th, noted the family's demand for the death penalty to be imposed on the terrorist: "We expect the system to inflict the full severity of the law on the terrorist, and we believe that his appropriate punishment is the death penalty.".

He added: "At the national level, the appropriate response to terrorism that attempts to take lives is the continuation of construction and settlement throughout Judea and Samaria, including in Area A, which was handed over to the enemy as part of agreements that cost us thousands of victims. In the face of their attempt to kill - we will continue to spread light and build life.".
