A delegation from the 'Torah World Fund' will set off on Saturday night on a fundraising trip to South America for the yeshiva world.
The trip comes against the backdrop of government budget cuts to yeshivas and kollels over the past two years, alongside the decline in the dollar exchange rate, which is making it difficult for the budgets of Torah institutions that rely on donations from abroad.
The delegation includes the rabbis Rabbi Shimon Galai and the rabbis Yaakov Hillel, Rabbi Avraham Salim, Rabbi Chaim Peretz Berman, Rabbi Malchiel Kotler, and Rabbi Yosef Hebroni.
The rabbis will take off on Saturday night for Brazil for a two-day trip, and from there they will continue to Argentina.
Grand Master Hirsch, who was supposed to head the delegation, remained in Israel because his wife was feeling unwell.
