
A 20-year-old man and another person were killed last night (Sunday) in a serious car accident that occurred on Rehavam Zeevi Boulevard in Rishon LeZion.
Three other people were injured in the accident, including a 25-year-old man who was seriously injured and two 18-year-old women who were moderately injured.
Police traffic investigators in the Shefael region have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
Rescue forces who arrived at the scene in Rishon LeZion described the harrowing sight of an overturned vehicle on fire.
""A person was trapped inside the burning vehicle, unconscious, and on the side of the road was a young man about 20 years old, unconscious," said paramedic Ella Ayem and paramedics Netanel Katz and Daniel Giat. According to them, the two suffered from severe burns and medical teams were forced to declare them dead at the scene.
A man in his 20s was rescued from the burning vehicle, conscious and suffering from burns throughout his body, and was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Additional injured women from the other vehicle were evacuated in moderate condition to Wolfson and Sheba hospitals.
In another accident during the night, soldier Netanel Ayala, a 20-year-old motorcyclist from Ofra, was killed after being hit by a car thief on Highway 60, near Rachel in Samaria. MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene pronounced him dead after attempting CPR.
MDA paramedic Miriam Sharvit Sabag and paramedics Yair Lax and Naor Sakr said that the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was without signs of life. "We provided him with medical treatment that included prolonged CPR, but to our great regret, in the end we were forced to declare him dead.".
In an accident this morning in Ein Hatzva on Highway 90, a 50-year-old man was killed and was rescued from his vehicle by firefighters, lifeless.
MDA paramedics, Hodya Shalom-Winter and Dan Avivi, said that a 60-year-old man in serious condition with multi-system trauma and a 60-year-old woman in moderate condition were evacuated from the scene by helicopter to Soroka Hospital.
The two said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a serious car accident. In one of the vehicles, we saw a man about 50 years old, unconscious and trapped. During the rescue operations by the firefighters, we performed medical examinations and were forced to declare him dead on the spot.
In the second vehicle, we saw a man and a woman in their 60s who were fully conscious with serious injuries to their abdomen, chest, and limbs. We provided them with medical treatment and put them on an MDA helicopter that landed nearby and evacuated them to the hospital.".
The police reported that accident investigators from the Negev Region have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the fatal accident on Highway 90 near Ein Hatzva, involving two private vehicles.
Traffic accident investigators are at the scene and collecting findings and evidence.
