Media personality Yaakov Bardugo, Channel 14's political commentator, stated today (Wednesday) that he is ready to integrate into the country's leadership - with an emphasis on one central role.
In an interview he gave to Gali Israel Radio, Bardugo said that he had previously been offered a ministerial position but had refused - but now his position has changed.
""Two or three years ago, I was offered a position as a minister in the government, and I didn't want it," Bardugo said. "I think that today, in terms of my maturity, I'm more mature than others. I only want one position - the position of Minister of Justice.".
During the interview, he was asked about the fear that the media and legal system would "look for him" as soon as he announced his entry into politics.
In response, he proposed a legislative initiative: "I think that whoever becomes Minister of Justice in the State of Israel should now enact a very basic law in this Knesset - it is impossible to file indictments or open an investigation against a person from the moment his name is raised as a candidate for the next Knesset.".
