Naftali Bennett accused today (Monday), in an interview with Reshet B, that "dodging is killing our soldiers" and that "what sustains the dodging is the budgets that Netanyahu, Deri and Goldknopf are transferring.".
Bennett added that "from a security perspective, I am a hawk, and from a national perspective, I am a liberal - and in favor of sitting with people from the left and right.".
On the map of blocs in the upcoming elections - Bennett said: "I think it is super critical that we unite in the Zionist-liberal bloc of the opposition.".
He demanded that Magdy Eisenkot "unite," because "I have twice as many seats (in the polls). Ultimately, even if you look at the Magyar model (in Hungary) - he is a right-winger, by the way a religious right-winger, under whom the center and left parties united because they understood that Orban could only be defeated from the right. In Israel too, if they try once again to bring in someone who is not a right-winger, we will lose like we have since 2009. Only a right-winger can defeat this government.".
Bennett added: "Today the big controversy is not whether or not there will be a Palestinian state. I think that even people on the left, even those with whom I disagree, don't think that tomorrow there will be a Palestinian state.".
Regarding sitting in the government under Benjamin Netanyahu, he repeated the slogan: "I will not sit under him - I will replace him.".
Regarding the Haredi draft, Bennett said: "Devastation is killing our soldiers. It's a tough sentence - and I stand behind it. The reservists are being worn out, it harms operational performance and it costs human lives. There are 100,000 healthy Haredi of draft age. We will recruit them in a very simple way - stopping the transfer of funds to those who don't enlist, to those who don't study. What sustains the evasion is the budgets that Netanyahu, Deri and Goldknopf transfer.".
In an interview with Galei Tzahal, he was asked about civil marriage and public transportation on Shabbat - and replied: "Cities should be allowed to choose whether they want transportation on Shabbat. Every person in Israel should be able to realize their love in the country and not travel abroad - my compass in this matter is common sense and decency.".
It should be noted that, contrary to Bennett's statement, "I have twice as many seats as Eisenkot": according to the 'Kan Khadash' poll, the gap is 5 seats, in the Khadash 12 poll, a gap of 6 seats, and according to the Channel 14 poll, Eisenkot overtakes him both in seats and in terms of the prime ministership.
