The Tel Aviv District Police Prosecution Unit filed an indictment against a 27-year-old resident of Samaria, who broke into a house in Bnei Brak in the evening, in the midst of a barrage of missiles from Iran.

According to a report on the Mako website, while the family members rushed to enter the apartment and lock the door, the burglar took advantage of the situation, entered the apartment and sat down to eat dinner around the table.

After finishing the meal, he went to the kitchen to get "side dishes," but at this point the father of the family noticed him coming out of the protected space.

A fight broke out between the two, at the end of which the burglar managed to escape from the apartment.

A police volunteer living next door heard the apartment owner's shouts: "Thief, thief," began chasing the suspect and managed to catch him.

During his interrogation, the burglar confessed to his actions and explained that hunger was what led him to break into the house.

""I've been homeless for about a year," he claimed, "I was hungry during the holiday, I saw food on the table through the blinds and decided to go in and eat.".

The prosecution is demanding that the defendant be kept in custody until the end of the legal proceedings against him. At the same time, the police have requested that the defendant be sent for psychiatric evaluation.
