Tempo Beverages announced this evening (Monday) that it will stop selling XL energy drinks made with a special recipe for Passover and will collect them from points of sale.

As part of tests conducted after receiving complaints from consumers, it was found that some of the products had an uncharacteristic odor and differences in taste compared to the regular product.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, the company received inquiries from customers about an unusual odor and differences in taste in XL products kosher for Passover compared to XL products produced during the year.

The company noted that the difference stems from the recipe being adapted to kosher requirements for Passover, and it was decided to proactively collect the products produced using this recipe.

The recall concerns two products: the XL Energy Drink and the XL TEN Energy Drink. The products have the note "Recipe for Passover" next to the printed date.

Product details included in the notice: XL, Barcode: 5906485301012. Batches: L86057-L86071. Expiration dates: 12/25-12/01/26. and XL TEN, Barcode: 5902198160403. Batches: L86054-L86057. Expiration dates: 12/23-25/26

The announcement is in coordination with the Central District Food Service. Consumers who own the aforementioned products are asked not to consume them and to contact the company's consumer service.
