
The storm is already here: The strong winds that have already hit the central region in recent hours (Monday) caused two minor injuries.
• In Rishon LeZion, the wall of an ancient winery collapsed last night onto cars parked on Sokolov Street in the city. "Fortunately, no disaster occurred. I'm glad the residents are disciplined and not hanging around outside," said Mayor Raz Kinstlich. "This is an event that cannot be defined as anything other than a great miracle.".
• A 70-year-old woman was slightly injured in the head by a large branch that fell on HaGalim Street in Rishon LeZion. Rescue forces called to the scene treated her and evacuated her to Assaf Harofeh Hospital.
Medics Yosef Assulin and Idan Ben-Rush said: "The woman said that during a walk in the park she was hit by a large branch that fell and hit her head. We provided her with medical treatment and evacuated her in an MDA intensive care unit to the hospital in a mild condition.".
• A 47-year-old woman was hit by an object flying in the wind near a commercial complex in Galilot. Rescue forces evacuated her to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.
• Strong wind gusts of up to 85 km/h were measured this evening in several areas - primarily Hadera and Haifa. In Tel Aviv, the wind peaked at 63 km/h and in Jerusalem at 49 km/h.
• A tree fell this evening on Tiberias Street in Bnei Brak, and fell onto the road. Drivers moved it to the sidewalk, and municipal crews arrived at the scene and removed the tree, with no injuries.
• Due to weather conditions - an Air Haifa plane was unable to land in Haifa, and turned towards Ben Gurion Airport.
• Part of a building used as a restaurant on Ma'apilim Street in Nahariya collapsed due to strong winds. No one was trapped in the incident. Israeli fire and rescue teams are working to help people evacuate the scene.
• The Airports Authority prepared for the storm and informed passengers: During the night and morning hours, there may be delays in takeoffs and landings, depending on weather conditions and safety guidelines. The Authority is not taking unnecessary risks and has even informed pilots - take extra fuel with you and plan for delays.
• The forecast for tonight and tomorrow: Tonight will be stormy with occasional showers accompanied by thunderstorms expected in the north and center of the country. Very strong winds will blow, especially in the coastal plain and mountains.
Snow fell on Mount Hermon and the northern Golan Heights. Flooding is expected in the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea, and local flooding in the mountains and coastal plain.
Tomorrow - Tuesday - the storm will continue, with occasional showers accompanied by thunderstorms expected from the north to the northern Negev. Very strong winds will blow. Snow will fall on Mount Hermon and the northern Golan Heights. Flooding is expected in the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea and local flooding in the mountains and coastal plain. Temperatures will drop. Haze is possible in the south of the country.
From the evening hours, the rain and winds will gradually weaken.
Wednesday: Cloudy to partly cloudy. Local rain, mostly light, is expected to fall mainly in the center of the country and the northern Negev. There will be a slight increase in temperatures.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. Drizzle to light local rain is still possible, mainly in the central and southern coastal plain. There will be another slight increase in temperatures.
Friday: Partly cloudy, no significant change in temperatures.
