Operation 'Five Stones': During the night and morning (Tuesday), IDF forces worked to demolish the homes of two terrorists who took part in two different attacks.

Last night, forces in Nablus demolished the home of terrorist Abed al-Karim Tsanobar, who was responsible for planting the explosives and planning the attack on buses in Bat Yam and Holon on February 20, 2025.

The Shin Bet investigation revealed that the terrorist had been planning the attack for more than a month, with the help of several other terrorists who assisted him. On the evening of the attack, the terrorist boarded several buses in the Gush Dan area, planted five unusual and powerful explosive devices in them, and planned to detonate them in the morning hours.

Thanks to the vigilance of citizens and security forces, one of the bombs was discovered by a female passenger who alerted the driver. The remaining bombs exploded. The attack ended without any casualties.

The terrorist fled back to Nablus with the help of a smuggler he had coordinated with in advance and was arrested by IDF and Shin Bet forces in July 2025.

The decision to demolish the terrorist's home - even though the attack failed - was made for reasons of deterrence, related to the unusual nature of the attack, with the backing of legal authorities.

A petition to the High Court of Justice filed against the decision was rejected by a majority vote.

Immediately after the demolition of the terrorist's house in Nablus, the engineering forces operated in the village of Aqaba, destroying the house of the terrorist Ayman Ghanem, who, together with other terrorists, carried out a shooting attack at the Mehola junction in which Yonatan Deutsch was murdered and another civilian was injured.
