In recent weeks, IDF and Shin Bet forces have continued to operate in the Beit Hanoun area in the northern Gaza Strip, with the aim of destroying the remaining terrorist infrastructure in the area, locating and eliminating the remnants of the battalion's terrorists - and destroying the remaining underground network.

The Northern Brigade forces, under the command of Division 99 and in cooperation with Shin Bet, intelligence and surveillance forces, launched a targeted operation last week to locate the last terrorists operating in Beit Hanun.

Under intelligence guidance, the effort was directed to the "Casbah" area in the city - based on the assessment that this was the location of the remaining terrorists who had not yet been eliminated.

The forces maneuvering in the area directed Air Force aircraft and carried out attacks on terrorist targets in the area, including tunnel shafts and a significant underground route.

So far, 11 terrorists have been located and eliminated along the route following the attacks, including terrorists from the command echelons in the field.

The forces are currently continuing additional searches.
