Shalom Lemar, one of the most prominent singers in the world of Hasidic and Jewish music, launches a new and exciting single-clip - for the first time in Hebrew, and performs the song "Yosla Kamtzan Kadosh".
This is his first performance in Hebrew that is not a cover.
Lamar is the first Hasidic singer in the world to sign a record deal with the international production company Universal Music Group, and in 2019 he won the "Orthodox Jewish Star" award at the Jew in the City - All Stars Awards ceremony.

He also appears at ceremonies and international events, including: the White House, Fenway Park in Boston, Citi Field in New York, and Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City.
Lemar collaborates with leading artists, and about a year ago he released his performance of the song "October Rain" - the original version of the song "Hurricane", with which Eden Golan represented Israel at Eurovision 2024. The performance was filmed on the Nova website and received millions of views around the world.
The new song was written and composed by Udi Damari, inspired by the famous story of 'Yosla the Holy Miser.'.
Yosla was known throughout the city as a terrible miser - a man who closed his door to the poor, did not donate to institutions, and refused every request for help. When he died, people were almost happy. Few came to the funeral, out of a sense of disgust.
But days after his death, strange things began to happen: families who had been receiving food went hungry, charity funds emptied, and institutions collapsed. Slowly, the truth emerged - Yosla gave everything, but in complete secrecy.
All these years he chose to appear stingy so as not to receive respect for his actions. From that day on he became known as: "Yusl'a the Holy Miser.".
Shalom Lemar says: "When I first heard the melody and lyrics by Oudi Damari, I realized how deep a message it has for our generation. How often do we see someone and judge them by their appearance - how they look, how they behave - without knowing what is hidden in their heart.
""Yosla teaches us that the inner self is the whole story, and that there are people who give of themselves without being known about them. The song seeks to inspire everyone to think twice before judging others, and to appreciate those who give of themselves quietly - whether it is helping family, a friend, or a stranger on the street. This is true, clean and pure giving, which reminds us that the real heroes are sometimes behind the scenes.".
International level production
The music video accompanying the song was produced at an exceptionally high level, with a professional team that worked many hours to produce the best possible result.
""Producing the video and the whole process was not an easy journey, with high costs and long hours of work. Like Yosla's story about dedication, we really felt all the motivations along the way - but it only strengthened us in understanding how important and necessary the message was. It was important to us to invest everything necessary so that the song and the video would come out in a way that respected the message and the character," says Lemar.
Kreizman Video Productions, who are behind the production and script, say: "It was important for us to bring something different and interesting, but mainly within the song - which is like a tribute to the character of Yosla and his activities. We wanted to convey the entire story without words, and let the viewer feel like they are right inside the story. Judging by the reactions, they think we accomplished the mission, God willing.".
Shalom talks about the special dedication: "During the filming of the clip, I happened to be comforting the bereaved family of a young soldier who fell in battle. I thought to myself about all those soldiers who are like Yosla - they gave so much of themselves, and didn't always receive the clear recognition.".
""I dedicate this video to all those soldiers, security personnel, and holy Jews who sacrificed their lives with devotion, without the world knowing all that they gave. In addition, the song is dedicated to all those people who give of themselves quietly, without receiving any appreciation.".
""I hope that whoever sees the clip will feel that they are not alone - and that people will learn to appreciate what is not always visible to the eye.
