A real revolution is taking place in the Haredi community.
In 2024, Haredi women achieved an extraordinary employment rate of 82.51%, exceeding all projections for 2030 and reaching parity with the employment rates of women in the general sector.
This achievement is much more than a numerical figure – it is a story of community renewal and growth. An even more important figure is the percentage of ultra-Orthodox women employed in high-tech. The percentage of ultra-Orthodox women employed in high-tech continues to grow, and currently stands at 4.51%!
At the heart of this revolution is Bar-Ilan University's "Coral" program, which is specifically tailored for Haredi women and is based on a combination of the values of the Haredi community with practical training and a professional support framework.
The "Coral" program provides students with practical certificate courses, without theoretical studies or enrichment courses. The courses prepare for prestigious international certifications and personal guidance from an ultra-Orthodox career coach - all with an understanding and sensitivity to the community's values and the personal aspirations of each participant.
""Coral" enables Haredi women to acquire tools and skills adapted to the demands of the modern market, and to step confidently into the world of employment while maintaining their identity and values. The program opens the door to new opportunities and provides guidance and inspiration throughout the process.
Students in the program are offered partial tuition funding, a living stipend, and a free placement company!
