The Orthodox community in Budapest, Hungary, is currently enjoying the momentum of its activity and development, while at the same time various steps are being taken to revive the Jewish community life that was truly present in the place where giants of Torah and piety lived.

The place is experiencing extraordinary development under the leadership of the community leaders, with Jewish centers being established and renovated for the benefit of the Jews living in the city, alongside the multitudes of Jews from around the world who visit Hungary throughout the year.

Last week, the Orthodox community hosted over 400 Jewish students who came to experience a true Shabbat full of Torah, prayer, and faith.

The special Shabbaton, which aroused many echoes, was held at the Orthodox Community Center at the initiative of the "Ash HaTorah" organization, with prayers held at the central "Beit Yosef" synagogue on Kazinzi Street.

This is an ancient synagogue that was recently restored and renovated at great expense at the initiative of the leaders of the Orthodox community - as part of the initiative to revive Jewish life in the city and restore its former glory, to the days when Budapest and Hungary were a central place for observant Jews.

Throughout the entire Shabbat, the students enjoyed a special atmosphere, as they were able to hear about the development of the place from the community leaders, who presented to them the blessed work and the beating Jewish heart that is only growing.

The students, for many of whom this was the first time they had experienced such a spiritual experience, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the community leaders for their perfect and embracing hospitality. "You gave us a wonderful spiritual experience that we will never forget," they said excitedly.

The director general of the Orthodox community, Rabbi Shmulik Oyrachman, said: "It is a great privilege to host and bring more and more Jews together. The community there is gaining momentum and growth, and our aspiration is to restore Atara to its former glory. This is the vision, and we are marching towards it with divine help."
