Last night, Rabbi Lando summoned the chairman of the yeshivot committee to his residence at 15 Rabbi Sher Street and ordered him to convene the heads of yeshivots, out of deep concern over the wave of orders that was recently sent, with approximately 54,000 conscription orders being sent to yeshivot students in recent days - which presents the world of Torah with an unprecedented challenge.
A source familiar with the details notes that last Thursday, the yeshiva head stated: "We must not wait, there is a need for an urgent reinforcement conference that will strengthen the public, the yeshiva heads and the young men - out of responsibility for future generations."
The gathering is expected to serve as a platform for strengthening, calling for a firm stand, and forging unity in preparation for the legal and public campaign against the High Court and the political system.
According to his family, Maran Graad Lando is expected to deliver unusually powerful speeches at the event, at the beginning of a critical period and towards the approaching inter-temporal era.
