An IDF soldier was seriously injured today (Sunday) when he was crushed by an elevator at the Kirya base in Tel Aviv.

The soldier was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. His family has been notified.
According to the details known so far, the elevator got stuck and the soldier tried to get out. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, the elevator crushed and injured him.
Following the incident, an investigation by the investigating military police was opened.
An IDF spokesman said that upon completion of the investigation, the findings will be forwarded to the Military Prosecutor's Office for review.
