MK Moshe Saada of the Likud revealed today (Sunday), in an interview with Natan Meshi and Avi Gedalovich on 'Roll Barama' radio, that Haredi representatives pushed for the appointment of MK Boaz Bismuth as chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee - even before the 'explosion' with Yuli Edelstein.

Saada revealed: "For several weeks now, there have been requests from ultra-Orthodox MKs for Bismuth to run for chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee. The Haredi know that the door is open for Bismuth."
According to him, "Shas is more practical, and sees more of Israeli society. In Torah Judaism it is more complex, they are less involved. I assume the conscription law will be submitted to the committee towards the end of the recess."
He attacked the government for its aid to Gaza: “The introduction of aid is a moral and ethical failure, it fuels and arms Hamas against our children. There is no nation in history that transfers food to the enemy. This is not understood. This is why the war has been going on for two years. Netanyahu wants to establish military rule in the Gaza Strip, he had an argument last week with Chief of Staff Zamir. The failure is Zamir’s appointment, he is from the same concept.”
According to him, “The government is fueling the ‘hunger campaign’ in the Gaza Strip. Rafah does not exist on the map, it is biblical damage of complete destruction. There are no such things. This will continue. We will not rest until we kill the last of the Hamas men.”
