The indictment states that the defendant - an Israeli citizen who immigrated from Iran in 1999 and was in a long-term relationship with an Iranian citizen living in Iran - had a long-term relationship with an Iranian agent during the 'Iron Swords' war and during Operation 'Am Kalavi'.
According to the indictment, during 2024, the defendant met in Turkey with his partner, an Iranian citizen, and with two Iranian regime officials, knowing that they were hostile elements.
Later, using the Telegram app, he passed sensitive information to the Iranian agent - some at the agent's request and some on his own initiative.
Among the information he provided: the identity of an Iranian sailor who worked on an Iranian oil tanker that allegedly collaborated with Israel, details about Israel's attack intentions in Iran, the flight path of drones from Israel to Iran, and damage caused to the air force base following an Iranian attack.
The prosecution stated in the indictment that the defendant "knowingly had contact with a foreign agent, and provided information to the enemy with the intention of harming the security of the state."
Given the seriousness of the offenses and the circumstances, the state requested that the defendant be detained until the end of the proceedings.
The investigation was conducted by the National Unit for International Investigations (Yachabal) and the General Security Service, accompanied by the Central District Attorney's Office.
